CLUB HISTORY

Affiliated: Geelong Football League (GFL) 1979 – present.
Formed: 1934, when the Chilwell Football Club (formed 1874) and Newtown Football Club (formed 1874/75) merged.
Colours: Black with a red strip (same as AFL Essendon)
Emblem: Eagles (formerly the Combine, then the Wells, and later the Bloods)

RESERVE:  1965, 1971, 1977, 2006, 2011

YOUTH GIRLS: 2012 
UNDER 16:  2001, 2003, 2011

Sport Programs

The Club is committed to fostering talent and community through our sporting programs.

Junior Football and Netball has over 600 participants and is continuing to grow in 2025. 

Our Senior Football and Netball programs are equally strong, with more than 200 players representing the Eagles at a competitive level.

We take great pride in knowing we can support our athletes at every stage of their sporting journey.
