2026 Football

Football at Newtown & Chilwell has a proud and successful history in the GFNL, built on strong leadership, player development and a commitment to success.
We’re pleased to offer opportunities for all genders across Junior, Senior and All Abilities football, creating a club that truly represents and supports our community. Our junior girls program is led by former AFLW player Maddy McMahon, whose experience and passion for the game provide fantastic leadership and development opportunities for our young players.
Our focus is on building a strong and sustainable pathway for all of our footballers, supporting players as they develop their skills, confidence and love of the game.
With strong leadership, excellent facilities, and an exciting group of emerging players, we look forward to another competitive and successful season in 2026.

All Abilities Football

At Newtown & Chilwell, we believe football is for everyone. Our All Abilities program is all about fun, offering an inclusive and welcoming environment for people aged 13 and over.

Whether you’re trying footy for the first time or returning to the game, this non-contact format provides a supportive and enjoyable team experience in a supportive community.

Why not come and give All Abilities football a go?

Junior Football

Junior football at the club continues to grow each year, reflecting the strength of our community and passion for the game.

Our program spans from our ever-growing Auskick ranks through to Little League (mixed U9, U10 & U12), junior boys (U14, U16 & U18) and junior girls (U9, U12, U14, U16 & U19).

At every level, our focus is on development, participation and creating a positive, inclusive and community-driven football experience.

NCFNC Senior Football Team

Senior Football

Following a strong 2025 home and away campaign, our senior program enters the 2026 season with great momentum, self-belief, and a talented, driven playing group.
This year’s focus is continuing to improve and push deeper into the finals series.
We are delighted to have AFL Premiership player and Norm Smith Medallist, Steve Johnson return as Head Coach, leading an experienced and committed coaching team.

Women's Football

In 2024, we proudly fielded two Senior Women’s teams in the GFNL, reflecting the rapid growth and strength of our women’s program.

We’re excited to have club legend, Craig Morrissy continue as coach for the 2025 season, with another big year planned in developing our players.

Whether you’re an experienced player or new to the game, our women’s program is a welcoming and supportive place to build on your skills.
